ISO Certification Enhances Saddle Creek Service in Georgia

Lakeland, Fla., November 29, 2007 --  Saddle Creek Corp. announced today that the company’s campuses in Atlanta and Villa Rica, Ga., have earned ISO 9001: 2000 certification. The third-party logistics company is implementing the certification process at its facilities in Georgia and nationwide as part of its commitment to continuous improvement.

“This achievement illustrates our on-going, company-wide effort to ensure service excellence,” said Cliff Otto, Saddle Creek president. “The ISO certification process helps us to deliver improved customer service, more accurate order selection results, and better information about our customers’ business improvements. It also allows us to realize operating efficiencies and cost improvements.”

Each location has installed Continuous Improvement Software (CIS) which enables Saddle Creek to capture information on operational issues, exceptions, errors, and special customer requests. This information is compiled in a rich database which serves as a platform for improvements and customer communication.

“Our new management system has improved communication across our organization, provided more accurate information for solving problems, and improved tracking mechanisms,” said Brandi Metz, Saddle Creek ISO facilitator. “These enhancements enable us to quickly and efficiently provide solutions for our customers across our warehousing, transportation and value-added businesses.”

Saddle Creek’s Lakeland, Fla., headquarters campus was ISO 9001:2000 certified by Moody International Certification Inc. earlier this year. More facilities are scheduled for certification in upcoming months. Saddle Creek has facilities in Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Oklahoma.
