Saddle Creek Adds Names Vice President
Lakeland, Fla., April 15, 2008 — Saddle Creek Corp., a third-party logistics services company, announced today that it has named John Pleasants as vice president of Florida operations for Saddle Creek Transportation Inc. A wholly owned subsidiary of Saddle Creek Corp., Saddle Creek Transportation offers a full range of transportation services nationwide, including truckload, LTL, flatbed, and consolidation services.
Pleasants will oversee the company’s fleet of more than 100 power units and 340 trailers in Florida from the company’s Lakeland, Fla. headquarters. His day-to-day responsibilities will include providing leadership for customer service, safety and operations, while leveraging technology to ensure that the operation runs as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Pleasants comes to Saddle Creek with more than 17 years of experience in operations management, most recently as operations manager at Schneider National Inc. in Chicago. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas.
