Brian Everett to Facilitate Retailer Discussion on Shipper Use of Technology

Minneapolis, Minn. – April 3, 2012 – MindShare Strategies announces that its senior partner, Brian Everett, will moderate a retailer shipper panel at the upcoming SMC³ Connections 2012 conference in Chicago, Ill. The event will take place June 26-29, 2012.

Shippers participating on the executive panel include Carey Skoglund of Ace Hardware; Dee Biggs of Welchs Food; and Keith Hartlaub of Sargento Transportation (Foods).

The conference also will feature keynote speaker Andy Andrews, New York Times best-selling author; sessions exploring emerging markets and trade practices; and the changing multimodal shipping landscape. Keynote speaker Andrews, who authored “The Traveler’s Gift: Seven Decisions that Determine Personal Success,” will provide a lively guide to positive life moves. For his part, speaker Bill Bronrott, deputy administrator of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, will advise attendees on coming federal regulations that will impact their businesses, fielding audience questions.

Connections 2012 also will feature Doug Stotlar, president and CEO of Con-way Inc., who successfully managed dramatic organizational and financial change in the company’s less-than-truckload unit, Con-way Freight. (Con-way Freight increased its annual net profit from $28.9 million in 2010 to $119.8 million in 2011 and saw operating profit shoot up to $19.6 million in Q4 2011 from $1.8 million in Q4 2010.)
